I went to M’s tonight and we made a plaster cast of my face. The whole process was surprisingly calming. First, I smeared my face with Vaseline, wrapped my  plastic, and lay on the floor, closed my eyes while M put cut pieces of Saran Wrap over my eyelids and syringes up my nostrils (so I could breathe). I lay there as she mixed the plaster and put a thin layer on my face. After that dried somewhat, she put piles of the stuff on. The heavier and harder the plaster got, the more my face felt frozen. The sensation was like that of having one’s mouth frozen at the dentist, only the whole face felt frozen. It was fun to do,and I felt no claustraphobia at all.
