December 1988

(Remnant): I was riding in the car with Kathy and discovered that the exercise bike I bought could fold up. It was summertime. We were heading to the group home on Consol where I had to work an overnight shift. I was wearing a dress and was wondering how I was going to ride my exercise bike to Grandma’s in the morning. (I had Christmas presents to drop off.) I aksed Kathy how to get the bike in riding condition, and she showed me the wheels she had disassembled. There were four of them, and they had become small, hard balls, somewhat like asteroids but they were starting to soften because they had remained unattached for too long. The Cat, Sappho, was in the back playing with theses balls and was digging her claws into them. So, Kathy decided she would show me how to get them large again. She pulled out a sickle instrument and started to hack away at them. this was supposed to cause the to grow. That was it for that sequence.

Next, I was on the phone trying to call Grandma. I aksed for her. It was Mom who answered. She started yelling at me and was very mean. I don’t rmember what she said to me.

(Apples come from roses. the rose is Cancer’s flower. My mother is a Cancer. Delivering Christmas presents is a yearly exercise. the bike is transportation of the kind I can only do in the summer. Bike riding is also very personal to me. also, other interpretations come to mind. No matter how hard I strain myself, I will not make contact.)
